Punjabi Aloo Paratha
My Aloo Paratha is very easy to cook and cook in a traditional way. Paratha is a popular whole wheat north Indian food stuff with lot of mashed potatos and spices and then stuffed in the dough, which is then rolled and pan-fried.
Aloo Paratha's are everyone's favourite.Many ladies first choice is Aloo paratha recipe for tiffin. Because very healthy recipe and favourite recipe of kids also.
Easy steps how to make Aloo Paratha Recipe (Serve for 2 people)
Ingredients:
For the dough:
- Whole wheat - 2 cup
- Water- 3 to 4 cup as per requirement
- Salt - 1 spoon
- Oil - 1 spoon
For stuffing:
- 4 boiled potato and finely mashed
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 1 green chilli finely chopped
- 1 spoon Garlic chopped
- ½ inch ginger chopped
- 1 pinch of cumin seeds
- 1 spoon garam masala
- Coriander finely chopped
- Salt as per required

Easy steps for Aloo Paratha
Making dough
In a large bowel add whole wheat, salt and add oil and add water as per requirement and make a dough.and rest for 10 mins.
Preparation for stuffing
- Firstly boil the potato in a pressure cooker and then peel the potato and mash very well.
- Then add chopped onion,green chillies, ginger and garlic add garam masala and salt as per taste and then add 1 pinch of cumin seeds and finely add chopped coriander mix well properly.
- Then Take the dough ball; make each to a 4 inch size round shape, place the stuffing in the center and wrap tight, totally covering and sealing the edges and then start rolling the aloo paratha rolling paratha as per choice size you required.
- Cook on pan still its a golden brown and then flip cook in a medium flame both side cook properly and then brush up the butter on each side of parathas.
- And serve with curd and pickle.

Notes for the recipe:
- you may use ghee or butter instead of oil.
- Adjust spice level as per the taste.
- You can also add red chilli powder instead of green chilli.
- In pressure cooker after boiling potato add some cold water because very easy to peel the potatos.
